ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENTS OF DEPTARTEMENT OF RADIO DIAGNOSIS

The Department of Radio diagnosis, Government General Hospital, Rangaraya Medical College, Kakinada has participated in various academic activities.

1. University CMEs conducted.
2. NTRUHS Two Zonal CMEs conducted in Radiodiagnosis ,  at Department of Radio diagnosis on 31-3-2013 and on 30-01-2016.
3. Number of Post graduate M.D.R.D. seats increased from one seat to three from Academic Year 2017-2018 onwards.
4. One D.M.R.D seat is converted to M.D.R.D. in the academic year 2019-2020.
5. Number of Post graduate M.D.R.D. seats increased from four seats to seven from Academic Year 2023-2024 onwards. Out of 7 PG seats 4 have got recognition and 3 are Permitted seats.
6. Guest lectures by:
   a)Interesting case discussions in Radiology by Dr. B. Anuradha at Konaseema Institute of Medical Sciences, Amalapuram in June 2014, Dr. B.Sudha Rani, at KIMS, in the year 2017
   b)Dr. B.Anuradha chaired the session at 76th Annual Conference of the IRIA, Vijayawada,January 25-28, 2024. 
7. Conferences participated and conducted  by department of Radiodiagnosis :
   • CME & WORKSHOP in Breast Imaging at MNJIO & RCC on 28thdec 2014.
   • 67th Annual state IRIA, conference & Workshop at Chennai on 19 to 21 December -2014.
   • Hyderabad  Annual Radiologic Physics course – 18 to 20 July 2014.
   • GUT & HBS imaging conducted by Barnard Institute of Radiology on 11th July 2014.
   • MUSKCON 2014 at BMC alumni Hall on 4th ,5th, 6th April 2014.
   • CME’s conducted by NTRUHS regularly.
   • Conducted one State Conference AP-IRIA, Kakinada chapter in July 2018
   • Dr. R. Indira Sri Sailaja, Assistant professor of Radiology delivered a lecture in Gynaecology department on February 24, 2023
   • Dr. Noorunisha Begum and Dr. PLVSSN. Prasanna Assistant Professors of Radiology, delivered lectures in Anatomy zonal CME on 08-06-2023
   • Dr P. Kusuma latha, Associate professor of Radiology delivered a Guest lecture on “ Radiological Evaluation of cerebral tumors” in Pathology zonal CME head on 03-09-2023.
   • Conduted NTRUHS PG Zonal CME at RMC, Kakinada on 10th December, 2023
   • 76th Annual Conference of the IRIA, at Vijayawada,January 25-28, 2024. 
   • Successfully conducted Radiology work shops in  3 UG conferences “EREVNA” on 11-08-2023,13-07-2024 and 12-06-2025
   • Participated in the Preventive Oncology training programme by Dr. G. Haritha and given training for TOT’s of Kakinada and Konaseema Districts.
