ACADEMIC ACTIVITIES OF ANAESTHESIA DEPARTMENT

  1. Every year Post Graduates and Faculty members are participating in the State, South-zone and National conferences and are presenting papers and posters and are also participating in the quiz programmes.The faculty members are delivering lectures in various CMEs and conferences.

 

  1. Inviting eminent guest speakers every year from our country and abroad also to the department for delivering lectures.
  2. Conducted zonal CMEs during 2010-2017.
  3. Conducted cadaver based pain workshop in the month of march 2016.
  4. Conducted state conference in Anaesthesiology on 6,7,8 October 2017.
  5. Conducted CME on ABG analysis by DR. Babu Paidipaty from Michigan University, USA on 3rd june 2019.
  1. All the faculty members are trained in BLS and ACLS workshops as per the AHA guidelines

 

  1. All the faculty have participated in the lectures given by eminent guest speakers on various topics conducted by both ISA city branch (KSA) and department of Anaesthesia.
  1. Twice a year, a few faculty members are undergoing training in basic course workshop conducted by our college.

 

  1. In the month of July 2019, three faculty members are going to train in TOT (training of teachers) programme on CPR as per IRC guidelines conducted by our college.

PG TEACHING :

  1. Classes for Post Graduates are being taken up by the faculty everyday in the Department Seminar Hall from 2.30 PM to 4.00 PM.
  2. Everyday onhands training in Anaesthesiology is being given to every Post Graduates in their respective Operation Theatres.
  3. Formative Assessment for all the Post Graduates are taken up on the last date of every month on the classes conducted during the month.

 

UG TEACHING:

  1. Classes for Under Graduates as  communicated by the Principal Office are being taken up by our faculty on the Scheduled dates.
  2. Basic CPR Training is given to all the Under Graduate Students in the NELS, Skill Lab, RMC, Kakinada.

 

INTERNS TEACHING:

  1. All the Interns posted to Anaesthesiology are given handson Training and Teaching in their posted Operation Theatres for all the 14 days in a Scheduled Manner.

 

  1. Successfully conducted 3 No of Zonal CMEs ZONE - II  in our Department with participation of faculty & PGs from 3 Medical colleges.
  1. Conducted NTRUHS Zone -II Zonal CME on 07/05/2023 in the year 2023.
  2. Conducted NTRUHS Zone -II Zonal CME on 28/04/2024 in the year 2024.
  3. Conducted NTRUHS Zone -II Zonal CME on 06/04/2025 in the year2025.

B.SC & DIPLOMA ANAESTHESIA TECHNICIAN STUDENTS TEACHING:

  1. Classes for Anaesthesia Technicians are being taken up by the faculty everyday in the Department Seminar Hall from 8.00 AM to 8.45 AM.

 

  1. Everyday onhands training in Anaesthesiology is being given to every Anaesthesia Technician in their respective Operation Theatres.

NELS SKILL LAB ACTIVITIES:

  1. Conducted  Advance Cardiac Life Support  Workshop in NELS Skill Lab, GGH, Kakinada - 7 Workshops.

 

  1. Conducted of Comprehensive Cardiac Life Support Provider Training Programme in NELS Skill Lab, GGH, Kakinada - 1 Training Programme.
  1.  Conducted One day Workshop on Ultrasound Guided Nerve Blocks in NELS Skill Lab, GGH, Kakinada.
