AWARDS OF COMMUNITY DEPARTMENT

• The department has trained 52 post graduate students so far. Has organized one State and one National conference.Conducted several workshops on Basic Research methodology
•  Taken up projects like -Cause of Death survey, MDA evaluation, Safe injection practices training,IDSP training, Prevalence of Rota Virus among U-5 children with GE
• Participated in the Surveillance activities of COVID-19 in Co-ordination with the District Health Authorities and Hospital Administration .PGs have participated and presented scientific papers and posters in various conferences across the country and won appreciation awards.
• Dr.Paran Mohan Hansadah post graduate won gold medal in APMEDUCON conference 2023.
• Dr.Ravindra.K. second year  post graduate won gold medal in APMEDUCON conference 2024.
• Dr.Ujitha ,first year post graduate received Gold medal for paper presentation in APMEDUCON conference 2025.
• Dr.Utpala won third prize in National IAPSM  conference 2024.
• Undergraduate students of Final year part 1 won first place at State level and 5th place at National level in IAPSM quiz.
• Best service award was received by all the faculty at the institutional level.
• As Member of National Health Education Committee IAPSM – Dr.B.Thirumala Rao Coordinated all 32 Private and Government Medical Colleges of Andhra Pradesh State for health Promotional Activities and got the Best State Health Coordinator Award from National IAPSM Body.WHO Country Office India: The Best Appreciation award for conducting Measles and Rubelle Vaccination Campaign in Andhra Pradesh State.
• Three times Best Doctor Award received from Collector and District Magistrate Prakasam District.The Best Public Health Researcher Award given by Venus International Foundation Chennai in the year 2020.
• The Best Faculty Award in Poster Presentation in 29th Joint IAPSM- IPHA Conference inTirupati.Essay Contest : First prize and received 10000 rupees in IAPSM National Conference held in AIIMS Bibi Nagar in 2023.
• Book Written: Covid Pandemic A Life Time Memory
