HISTORY OF DENTAL SURGERY DEPARTMENT

The department of dental surgery was started in 1980’s as a wing of govt general hospital, Rangaraya Medical College Kakinada .Dr. B. J. Fleming MDS was the HOD from 1982-84 later Dr. V. R. Rama Krishna murthy , Dr. M Rama Swamy ,Dr. N. Ganesawara Rao were the successive HODs, till 2008.
The dept started with a single dental chair &now established with 6 fully adjustable dental chairs &served number of poor people seeking dental treatment.
The dept is maintaining the huge op in dental wings of all medical colleges from past three decades.
