HISTORY OF PATHOLOGY DEPARTMENT

    
The department was started on 1-8-1960 by Dr. D. Sundarasiva Rao garu who later moulded the college in a grand manner as the PRINCIPAL for 7 years (1970 to 1977).
Dr. Shankar Banerjea, one of the founders of the department established the recent methodology in diagnosis from 1962 to 1992.
Dr. A.V. KRISHNAM RAJU has worked from 1976 to 2007 has renovated & upgraded the department by getting the MCI recognition for PG Courses.

  1. Histopathology practical Hall was established in the department in

addition to the old lab, presently used as hematology lab. e An A.C. Conference Hall was created with all Audio Visual facilities and
was named after Late Dr. Shankar Banerjea used for all college meetings & Academic programmes of P.G.s
J Departmental Laboratories are provided with Automation Analisers in Heaematology & other Sections.
4, Facilities for Teaching staff & PG students were modernized by provision of cubicles, lockers etc. as required by them.
