NEW EQUIPMENT ADDED TO THE DEPARTMENT OF PAEDIATRIC SURGERY

On the occasion of completing 25 Years of establishment of the department, in August 2010, four Infant Warmers were added to the department as a donation by a Non-resident Cocanadian and philanthropist, Dr. Marla Babji FRCS of Germany with the initiative of the then Medical Superintendent – Dr. M.B.R.Sarma MD.

The need for a separate space and dedicated operation theatres was soon realized and with the financial support of M/s Engineers India Pvt. Ltd., a new wing has been allocated to Paediatric Surgery department in accordance with the MCI guidelines and the department was shifted to this new premise in January 2014.

The new Operation Theatres have slowly taken shape with addition of equipment and now the Paediatric Surgery department has three operating days running two OT tables simultaneously.
